A face does not need eleven ideas at once. We design for the look where one thing was chosen deliberately and everything else stepped back. That is the difference between a face you recognize and a face you forget.

Four rules we hold ourselves to, written down where they can be held against us.
Made to be seen
Screens flatten everything and forgive too much. We would rather a shade hold up in daylight, across a room and in a photograph someone took without asking. If it only works in one place, it does not earn its place.
Small on purpose
A large collection is a way of not committing. A small one is a set of decisions you can defend. Every piece that stays in the collection has to answer for itself, and the ones that do not go away quietly.
Answerable
Montájz is a luxury cosmetics house, not a shell company with a contact form. We read what you send. If something is wrong, you will be able to find a human on the other end — that is the whole standard.
What we are not doing.
- Chasing a trend cycle that would have us redesign the same mouth every six weeks.
- Forty shades of nearly the same thing, so the shelf looks busy.
- Selling you a face you would not recognize in your own mirror.
- Claims we cannot repeat to your face.
