Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• From you: your email when you join our list, or when you tap "Notify me" (we add you to marketing emails only if you tick the optional box); your name, email, topic and message when you use the contact form; what you type into the AI advisor (for example skin tone, finish and look). Please don't enter health information into the advisor or the contact form.
• Automatically: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects pages viewed, device and browser data, and an approximate location based on your IP address. Our hosting provider also keeps standard security logs.
• Payments: we don't take payments on this site, so we don't collect card details.

We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.

How we use your information

To reply to your messages and to reports about product reactions; to send launch news and updates you asked for, including telling you when a product becomes available; to run the AI advisor; to understand how the site is used (only if you accept analytics); to keep the site secure; and to meet legal duties.

If you use our beauty advisor, the text you type is sent to an AI service provider to generate a reply. Don't enter health information or other sensitive details. The advisor doesn't give prices or medical advice.

Cookies & analytics (cookie notice)

We use essential browser storage to run the site: your language choice, your cookie choice, and whether you've closed the sign-up window. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and shopping events, such as viewing a product. Google Signals and advertising features are turned off, we don't use advertising pixels, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie notice. If we ever add advertising tools, we'll update this policy and add a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link before they go live.

Email marketing

We send marketing emails only if you sign up and agree. Every marketing email includes our postal address and an unsubscribe link, and we honour unsubscribes within 10 business days. Marketing emails may include a 10% first-order code (when available), launch news, and periodic holiday promotions. We don't send marketing text messages.

Sharing with third parties

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site: our website hosting and database provider, Google (analytics, only with your consent), the AI model provider that processes advisor messages to generate suggestions, our email service provider, and Shopify (product catalogue and account sign-in). We also share information when the law requires it (for example, serious product-reaction reports to the US Food and Drug Administration), or as part of a business transfer.

Data retention

List and "Notify me" data: until you unsubscribe. Contact messages: as long as needed to answer and follow up. Product-reaction reports: at least 6 years, as US cosmetics law requires. Analytics data: under Google Analytics' retention settings. Other data: only as long as needed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:

• know what personal information we collect and how we use it;
• access, correct or delete it;
• get a portable copy;
• opt out of its sale or sharing, targeted advertising or profiling;
• not be treated differently for using these rights.

You can also appeal if we refuse a request. To make a request, email sales@montajzcosmetics.com with the subject "Privacy request". We'll verify your identity and reply within the time the law requires. You may use an authorised agent.
